Color Options and Upgrades

At MPS our goal is to build lifelong relationships with our customers. We want to communicate our process with you to the best of our ability. This is a quick overview of the project steps we take. Please keep in mind that a lot of the project steps can be affected by ground conditions, weather conditions, and our number of workers.

Step 1: Ordering Materials

As soon as we finalize all the paperwork, we begin to order materials for your project. This helps everything run a little smoother once we start the actual build.

Step 2: Permits

Our next step is going to be pulling all the necessary permits for construction. 

Step 3: Site Prep

The excavation site is prepared by marking out the area where the pool will be set.

Step 4: Contacting Utilities

We will then contact any private or public utilities and have them marked out to prevent damage.

Step 5: Digging

Now we can start to dig out the site of your pool shell. We dig out the dimensions to give the pool shell a snug fit for increased stability.

Step 6: Excavating

The excavator will remove most of the dirt out of the pool dig site. At this point, the excess dirt may need to be removed from the property.

Step 7: Setting

Your pool can now be placed in the ground. It can take a few attempts to get the shell perfectly nestled in. We want everything to be level.

Step 8: Backfill

We then begin the process of backfilling the pool to ensure that it is locked in the ground. This will ensure that the shell does not shift.

Step 9: Adding Water

This is usually done simultaneously with the backfilling of the pool. The entire process of backfilling and adding the water may take a few days to complete.

Step 10: Plumbing

Throughout the installation process, we will be working on plumbing. We want to ensure that everything is hooked up correctly before any inspections. It may take a few days for the inspection to be completed, timelines vary between counties.

Step 11: Electrical Installation

Just like with the plumbing, we will be working on the electrical installation throughout the process. There will also be an inspection for the electrical component of the pool.

Step 12: Pouring Concrete

The weather is crucial for your concrete to set properly. We must set up the forms, pour, and bond. Once poured, it will take 2-3 days to set.

Step 13: Finishing The Pool

While we wait for the concrete to set, we cleanup the area around the pool and prep for any additional projects.

Step 14: Final Walkthrough

At the end, we like to do one final walkthrough to make sure everything looks great. This will help answer any final questions that you may have in regards to your project or equipment usage.
